Australia day, 26/1/07 .. Pykes is a local water supply; the water level should be around the eye level of the shot (the dark mark midway up the opposite bank) or 5-7 metres above my head.
Our prime miniature wants the federal government to wrest all water control from the States.. if he does this and makes a mess similar, as he has with Health, Education, Foriegn Policy, Trade & Industrial Relations... then I might be able to show you the bottom, too.

Gentlemen,.. you can't fight in here! This is the WAR room!

Excellent shot, I like this one the best of the recent photos you have put up.
Really hits home about the drought, eh? I live in Brisbane, and so it doesn't seem as drastic here.
Meanings aside, excellent composition, I like the way the ground seems to curve up towards the water, gives it an almost surreal twist. The blue of the water and sky also contrasts nicely with the ground.
Great work! :D

I feel for you. I don't even have any silly nomenclature for our leader... his bungles can't be jested about as easily.

It would seem your conservatives have lost a little of their hubris in recent months .. and some of us here call him, prez. shrub.... hope that helps.
:iconlawrencew:
the curve of the water was slightly enhanced by the distorion inherent in the w/a used.. water storages in Victoria are now at 32% capacity..
Ta for comenting.

Not altogether a bad thing ..think of the petrol you'll save.
